We have to-day received a cablegram from the Chairman of the Hongkong Chamber

of Commerce, a translation of which we give you below:-

"Hongkong Chamber of Commerce request London Chamber of Commerce very strongly urge upon British Government necessity for pressing Chinese Government to promptly and thoroughly deal with Pirates suppressing all villages
